The Proposal Working Group is in the process of recruiting volunteers to take part in the blind peer-review process for the 2027 Gestalt Conference in Shanghai. Your expertise will help us ensure a fair, high-quality programme.
What the role involves:
You will be asked to independently evaluate the clarity, relevance, and overall merit of each submission, remaining anonymous to the authors. On average, you would be expected to read 3 proposals per week (roughly 15-20 in total). While the time needed for each proposal might vary, based on our experience 30 minutes per proposal would be considered a realistic allocation of time.
Clear written guidelines will be provided, and the Proposal Working Group will also be available at any time to support the peer reviewers if further clarification or help with scheduling is needed.
The review process will start rolling in October 2025 and must be completed by the 25 May 2026. All reviews are carried out online —materials and an easy-to-use evaluation form will be provided.
Workshops which are submitted in Chinese will be machine translated into English, evaluations and feedback will be done in English, and machine translated back as necessary.
